1. Recording
Recording is an explicit user action. In the supplied pilot, recording is local to the device that starts it. BringLive Meet displays a visible recording state, but hosts remain responsible for providing any notice and obtaining any consent required by law, contract, workplace policy or event rules.
2. Smart Mic
Smart Mic uses local voice-activity signals to help close an accidentally open microphone. It warns before assisted muting, speaking again cancels the pending mute and the user can override it.
3. Optional face presence
Where supported by the browser and explicitly enabled, face-presence assistance checks only whether a face appears to be present in the local camera frame. The feature is not identity recognition, emotion analysis, attention scoring or biometric authentication. The supplied implementation does not upload face images for that check.
4. AI and automated decisions
This build does not use Smart Mic or face-presence status to make employment, credit, eligibility or other legally significant decisions. If generative summaries, transcription or external AI services are added later, users must be told what provider processes the content and what retention/consent choices apply before the feature is enabled.
5. Participant expectations
Participants should not assume a meeting is private merely because it is invite-only. Hosts should explain who is present, whether recording/transcription is active and how recordings will be used or retained.
